Know the Signs of an Infestation
Mice or rats running around your home is never good. For one, many times, rodents can carry diseases, which can put both people and pets in danger. For another, rodents can eventually cause structural damage to your property, leading to expensive repairs—or, in the worst-case scenario, a potential safety hazard.
There are a couple of things to pay attention to if you want to determine if there’s an infestation. First, listen for any skittering sounds in your walls, as this can be a sign that there are rodents running around. Next, check for any holes that have been chewed through parts of your property. In addition, check for any rodent droppings or a strange odor. And, of course, if you notice mice or rats themselves, it’s time to contact a rodent exterminator.
